During the past few years, people have increased their movement to the east and west in the United States. They are packing their bags, hiring long distance movers, and heading to the sunny states of Georgia, North Carolina and Florida. Yet, no matter where you move to or from, it important to be sure to do two things right:
1. Hire reputable, reliable and responsible movers
2. Make sure you have both old and new residences in order before leaving one for the other

* Cancel Subscription Services: This includes gyms, cable/satellite TV, gas/electric and any other type of service where they will continue to charge you regardless of what state (literally and figuratively) you are currently in. You may have to do this a month ahead of time.
* Insurance: Let your car insurance agent know and discuss any changes that your new state may require
* Postal Address: Change it.
* Bank/Financial: Make sure banks know your current address. Switch everything to direct payment or receive bills through email
* Photographs: Take pics of all valuables. Just as important, take shots of how your electronics fit together. This will make it easier for later assembly
