You’ll need to be prepared before you can go through a diagnostic imaging exam. Read the list to help you prepare for the day of the exam. You won’t have a problem getting ready for the procedure with these reminders.

Arrive Early
When you get there, you’ll need to fill out forms. You’ll want to go to the bathroom or check in with the nurses or doctor, and more. By arriving 15 minutes early, you have enough time to settle before your appointment. That way, when the doctor calls for you, you’ll be ready to go.

Don’t Wear Jewelry
When you head to your appointment at a trusted Orlando Diagnostic Imaging facility, leave your jewelry behind. If you have someone waiting to take you home after the exam, let them hold onto your ring, necklace, or watch. If you’re getting an MRI scan, remember that the MRI is a giant magnet, so if you have anything that might cause problems with the machine, inform the staff or your doctor.

Bring a Light Jacket
Many facilities have air conditioning at high settings to maintain optimal conditions for their medical equipment. You’ll want to bring a light jacket, so you’ll be comfortable while you wait for your turn.

Wear Comfortable Clothes
Avoid wearing anything too tight. An MRI scan requires you not to move. If your clothes are too tight, you may get fidgety. That means you’ll need to redo the exam. If you want the procedure completed in one try, wear clothes, so you’ll be comfortable. Loose sweats and a shirt should work. That way, you won’t have a problem staying still during the procedure.

Bring Your Documents
Do you have test prescriptions? What about documents from your doctor requesting the procedure? Bring those documents with you. The staff might ask you about them.
