Getting Started
It is essential to understand that basic makeup such as foundation or concealer is not designed to cover the dark colors of ink found in a tattoo. Instead, purchase a professional makeup line that includes a corrector or neutralizer product designed for dark discolorations on the skin.
Choose the right color corrector. Most will offer a palette of colors designed for a light or a dark skin tone. Within the palette, there will be a variety of different shades that allow you the option to choose the one closest to your natural skin color and then blend with the next color up or down to create the perfect match.
The first step is to wash the area with soap and water, and then wipe down with rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. Allow this to dry to remove all surface oil from the skin.

The Cover-Up
