There are several ways you can help to cut your costs. They do not involve a great deal of expense or effort and you can realize immediate benefits. Here are four important things to remember.
1. Check Air Intake Equipment
Air intake is one of the most important features to closely monitor. If this equipment becomes dirty it can get clogged and greatly reduce the efficiency of industrial filtration systems. In fact, if you have older units still in operation, be sure they are frequently cleaned and inspected.
Check the position of your dust collecting vents. The closer they are to the process, the more efficient they will work. 2. Is Everything Properly Set?
Look at the spray nozzles and note their relationship to the work piece. Can they be moved or adjusted for greater efficiency? Improperly placed nozzles may require more coolant than ones close to the work. You may be able to save a great deal on coolant by simply making some minor adjustments.
3. Keep it Clean
There are so many good things to say about keeping a clean shop. First, you’ll increase worker safety by making it easier to see and maneuver in the shop. If you walk through your shop and don’t like what you see, it’s time for some housecleaning changes. General cleanliness is good for worker morale and makes it easier for industrial filtration systems to operate.
