2. Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden
Known as the “Garden of all Seasons,” the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is one of the top attractions in Charlotte for people who like serenity and natural beauty. Spread over an area of 380 acres, the Botanical Garden features rolling meadows, lakefront property and woodlands. The massive area covered by the garden itself is used for a variety of different purposes. There are ponds, fountains and thousands of different plants and flowers throughout the garden. There are 32 employees that take care of the garden, helped by more than 100 volunteers. The garden also has the only public conservatory in the region, dedicated to the display of tropical plants.

Only recently, Discovery Place was completely overhauled and re-imagined as one the top science and technology museum in the region. There’s also a massive IMAX Dome Theater. The theater offers a vast array of educational exhibits, programs and opportunities. You can enter the Discovery Place from the main entrance at Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte.
