As a kid, you may have visited several different outdoor playgrounds. Some were nice and rarely muddy, while others were frequently soggy, under water, or had uneven ground. Uneven ground tends to cause injuries to feet, ankles, and knees when kids are running and playing and trip over these areas. So, how do you level ground? The first thing you need to do is hire a ground leveling contractor.

How Do You Level Ground?

There are earth-moving contractors and landscapers that have the equipment necessary to tackle this kind of project. You have to find one that the city will hire and that is usually handled through a bid war. The contractor that knows best how to do this, is licensed, and makes the least expensive offer to the city is usually the winner.

Once hired, the details of when the ground leveling project will start are sorted out through the proper city parks planning board. Some playground equipment may need to be removed temporarily to do the job. Extra dirt to make the ground level may be brought in, although the existing dirt in the park may work as well.

Dirt Is Pushed Around Until It’s Uniform and Even

Existing dirt and added dirt are moved around with a front loader. It is then rolled over repeatedly to make it compact before a visual inspection. When it is obviously even, lacking lumps and holes, and looks nice, grass seed or sod is brought in. The playground equipment will be reinstalled. Contact LevelDry via leveldry.com.
