Are you interested in the affordable connectivity program and free phone? The ACP is a government benefit program under the Federal Communications Commission. The program provides a monthly discount on broadband internet access. In addition to home internet, certain connected devices qualify.
In a household, only one monthly service discount may be given out. The same is true of the device discount, but you can transfer it. If you want to transfer your discount, it is possible. To obtain ACP benefits, shoppers can work with any participating providers. You can also start benefits with one provider and then transfer to another later.
ACP services and devices are not guaranteed they will be available. They are subject to product availability, provider participation, and consumer eligibility.
Affordable Communications
On December 31st, 2021, the ACP launched and replaced the Emergency Broadband Benefits. EBB customers had 60 days until their benefits expired, and they were left by the wayside. Customers must have transitioned to ACP by March 1st, 2022, if eligible.
Once you are part of the program, you may be given a $100 voucher to use toward a phone. It must be a phone sold by the provider, and they must participate.
Here are a few of the phone types you can get if you are a part of the ACP program:
Samsung Galaxy A10E
Samsung Galaxy S8
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
Samsung Galaxy A02s
Samsung Galaxy A20S
LG K10
Motorola Moto E4
Motorola G7
Google Pixel 2
Google Pixel 3
If the phone is worth more than the voucher, then the voucher acts like a discount.
